SOOTHING INGREDIENTS FOR SKIN
People with sensitive skin types are easily prone to irritation with different types of skincare.
You might have noticed skin redness which tends to occur even with a few minutes of sun exposure despite not having adequate sunscreen and you probably prefer to stay in cool environments and avoid outdoor activities because the heat can further make your skin redder than it already is.
While there are many reasons for increased skin sensitivity such as genetic causes, thinner skin surface, and higher number of capillaries inside the skin or even surrounding menopause, it is always a good idea to have your skin condition examined.
Additionally, it’s also important to use the right skincare products for sensitive skin types. Not all those with skin sensitivity are suitable for strong skincare ingredients such as those in serums.
While we should avoid further irritating your skin with strong ingredients, knowing the correct skincare combination products with the right ingredients will help you soothe your sensitive skin.
If you’re looking for suitable skin care to soothe your skin, here we present 3 skincare items that you may want to fit into your routine, with proven scientific evidence of their effectiveness.

We will start off with Evening Primrose Oil or EPO in short.
Besides being used for female ailments such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and to relieve menopausal symptoms, Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) contains omega-6-fatty acids, something which our skin is not able to produce by itself, making it an essential ingredient for our skin. A research study conducted in Korea in 2018, has shown that Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) increases skin hydration in those with chronic skin allergies. It also reduces water loss from skin and improves elasticity and firmness.

Next, the all famous aloe vera.
As you have probably heard of this thorn plant, the gel contained in the leaves is rich in organic acids for moisturising and soothing effects. It also has a great anti-inflammatory effect. This makes it so popularly used in skincare items such as lotions and toners. But it’s greatest usage lies in the protective effect against radiation damage to the skin, especially where skin redness caused by sunburns is very common in Malaysia. Its moisturizing effects have also been studied in treatment of dry skin associated with occupational exposure where aloe vera gel gloves improved the skin integrity, decreased appearance of fine wrinkle and decreased redness.
Here we provide 3 soothing skincare items:

1)R3 Cleanser
This soap-free gel cleanser is formulated with Evening Primrose Oil, making it an excellent starter to your skincare routine.
